2v2 is an expansion of 1v1 game play. It sees two teams of two armies each facing off to best one another. Victory can be achieved either through capture or by destruction. Victory by capture occurs when your team is in possession of all capture points on the map simultaneously. Victory by destruction requires eliminating all opposing units.

Opponents in 2v2 are humans, although if suitable players cannot be found within a short time frame then AI teammates and/or opponents will be chosen for you. AI players can be distinguished by the [Cadet] or [Officer] tag in front of their name. Human opponents do not have such a tag.

In 2v2 there is no friendly fire and all accomplishments are shared. This means that you cannot attack or harm your teammates, though you can heal or buff them with your own units or gear worn by your units. Also, there is no difference between a CP captured by one of your units and a CP captured by a teammate's unit. The presence of an allied unit on a CP that you are capturing neither speeds up nor slows down the speed of capture.

[[::Category:strategy|Strategy]] in 2v2 is similar to 1v1, although the increased number of units on the field can lead to additional complications and depth. The cumulative skill of your team vs. the cumulative skill of the opposing team is generally more important than the individual skill of any given player. It is important for the members of a team to coordinate their attacks and movement, as well. Failure to use teamwork usually leads to units being quickly isolated and eliminated.

Currently, only one map (Mountain Pass) is available for use in 2v2.
